3 Ways to Breathe New Life into Your Furniture

Whether you’re looking to add new life to a beloved piece of furniture or just looking to spice up your space, a little bit of paint can go a long way! Don’t limit your creativity with just a coat of paint; try these clever techniques to make a grand masterpiece.

Color blocking

ColorBlock

Color blocking is a lot simpler than it looks. You can use one or two colors to achieve this contemporary look. Mark off sections as you paint for a dipped look or you can select two coordinating colors and paint each section a different color like Susanne Worley did for this desk! She used our Farmhouse Paint in Creamy Linen for the body of the desk and French Blue for the drawers. Viola!

Unique textures

textureYou can use our crusting mix, antiquing gel and metallic shimmers to take your furniture from flat and matte to wow! To use the crusting mix, add Cackleize over a coat of Farmhouse Paint. When dry, apply a layer of crusting mix and roll with our sea sponge roller. Top it off with our antiquing gel for a beautiful textured finish!

Renew with a bold color
